5 MILLION DATA POINTS & COUNTING
|
|
|
|
Every
day, LWR systems around the globe are quietly collecting data. Lots of it.
From
nutrient concentrations and solids capture rates to water recovery volumes and
operational performance, every system in the field contributes to a growing
body of knowledge that helps us better understand manure management and
nutrient recovery.
Today,
that database has surpassed five million operational data points!
For
producers, that means better system optimization, stronger environmental
reporting, improved nutrient management, and new opportunities in emerging
markets like methane avoidance carbon credits.
As
our network continues to grow, so does our ability to turn operational data
into practical insights that help producers make informed decisions and recover
more value from the resources they already manage every day.

CELEBRATING JUNE DAIRY MONTH
|
|
|
|
Some of the most sustainable milk in the world is being produced on dairies that are recovering nutrients, recycling water, reducing emissions, and creating MORE value from the resources they already manage every day.
In recognition of Dairy Month, we're offering a FREE nutrient assessment to help producers better understand the value already moving through their manure management system. Our team will review your operation and identify opportunities related to nutrient recovery, water recycling, methane avoidance, and nutrient management.
We're also hosting an exclusive on-farm site tour later this month for producers interested in learning more. Contact our team for details.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (PART 1 OF 2)
|
|
|
|
I spend a lot
of time talking with producers, learning about the opportunities and challenges
they face every day. This month, I'm answering a few of the most common
questions I hear. If you've got a question of your own, give me a call, or stay
tuned for Part 2 next month!
What
exactly does the LWR PLANT system do?
In simple
terms, it helps producers get more value from the manure they're already
managing.
The system
separates solids, recovers nutrients, and recycles water, turning one large
manure stream into products that can be easier and more economical to manage,
transport, and utilize.
What's the
difference between First Wave and Second Wave?
Think of
First Wave as the nutrient recovery side of the system. It removes solids and
captures nutrients into a nutrient-rich fertilizer product while producing a
filtrate stream.
Second Wave
takes that filtrate and treats it further to produce clean recycled water.
Together, they make up the PLANT system.
What kind
of return on investment can I expect?
That's
probably the question I get asked most.
Every farm is
different, but most producers see payback within 1 - 3 years. Reduced hauling,
improved nutrient utilization, lower fertilizer costs, water reuse
opportunities, and carbon revenue can all contribute to the economics.
Curious what
that could mean for your farm? Take advantage of our FREE Dairy Month Nutrient
Assessment and let's take a look together.
Can I earn
carbon credits with an LWR system?
Yes!
In fact,
that's one of the things we're most excited about right now. By reducing
methane emissions and providing the data needed for verification, eligible
producers can participate in carbon projects and generate an additional revenue
stream.
If you're curious
about how it works, join us for our upcoming webinar with 3Degrees on July 15.

GIVE YOUR grō MORE TIME TO WORK
|
|
|
|
Looking for a
simple way to optimize performance?
Recent LWR
testing found that extending polymer hydration time from one hour to two or
more hours can improve solids capture, increase liquid recovery, and reduce
polymer consumption. While every operation is different, the results were
consistent across multiple product lines.
If your
current process allows for it, consider giving your polymer a little extra time
to hydrate before use. It's a small operational adjustment that may deliver
meaningful performance and cost benefits.

Earlier this week, we
found ourselves at an undisclosed location for an undisclosed reason that we're
really excited to share with you. Unfortunately,
for reasons that are also undisclosed, we can't tell you much more
just yet...
What we can
tell you is that there were cameras, lights, interviews, and plenty of
conversations about innovation, data, and the future of agriculture....
and a few cows who were determined to make sure their voices were heard too!
Trust us, this one's worth the
wait.

MEET THE NEXT GENERATION OF INNOVATORS
|
|
|
|
We're excited
to welcome two talented students to the LWR team this summer.
Meet
Tearra
Have you ever
tried explaining nutrient recovery, methane avoidance, water recycling, carbon
credits, and manure management in a social media post?
That's
exactly the challenge Tearra signed up for this summer.
Currently
completing her Bachelor of Communication in Information Design, Tearra joined
LWR as our Summer Marketing Intern and is helping transform complex technical
information into content that's clear, engaging, and easy to understand.
What
surprised her most? The amount of innovation happening behind the scenes in
agriculture and how much value can be recovered from resources many people
overlook.
Keep an eye
on our social channels this summer. You'll be seeing more of Tearra's
creativity, curiosity, and storytelling skills at work.
Meet Taby
Some students
finish a summer placement and move on. Taby finished hers and wanted to come
back!
Currently
studying Electrical Engineering and Chemistry at Western University, Taby is
returning for a second summer with LWR's lab team. She's helping investigate
how different manure and digestate characteristics influence polymer
performance and nutrient recovery outcomes.
One of the
things she enjoys most about working at LWR is the opportunity to conduct
hands-on testing while contributing to technology that's solving real-world
challenges. She's excited to continue learning more about the science behind
nutrient recovery and how small changes influence system performance.
The thing
that surprised her most when she first joined LWR? Discovering that livestock
waste can be transformed into clean water and valuable products through
advanced treatment technologies.

UNLOCK MORE VALUE FROM EVERY CUBIC METRE
|
|
|
|
As the biogas
industry continues to grow, operators are looking beyond energy production and
focusing on how to recover more value from digestate.
Nutrient
recovery technologies are helping transform digestate from a management
challenge into a resource, creating opportunities to recover valuable
nutrients, reduce handling costs, improve operational efficiency, and produce
marketable fertilizer products.
This July,
our UK distributor, Genesis Agri, will be showcasing LWR technology at the
World Biogas Expo. If you're attending, stop by and learn how nutrient recovery
is helping modern AD facilities get more from every cubic metre processed.
